U.S. Geological Survey
Certificate of Analysis

Disseminated Gold Ore, DGPM-1

DGPM-1 is a disseminated gold ore reference material which can be used to establish analytical accuracy for the analysis of gold in geologic samples. Material for the standard was collected from the Pinson Mine, which is located 40 miles northeast of Winnemucca, Nevada. Gold in the reference material is present as particles less than 0.5 micron in size and associated with pyrite and iron oxides.

Recommended values

Element or oxide concentrations are recommended if results from three or more independent laboratories using two or more independent analytical procedures are in statistical agreement.

Recommended values

Values are based on results from a minimum of two cooperating laboratories using the same or similar analytical procedures.
