Task activities are continued under Task 14.

Task Objectives

We are proposing, in cooperation with Mike Wilson and Rebecca Burt of the NRCS, to conduct an inventory of soil geochemical data sets available for the United States, accumulate available data sets along with metadata, and, ultimately, make these data available in electronic form through a web site. If a data set is not in digital form, we will enter the data into a spreadsheet or database. If metadata is not available, or is not compliant, we will generate the information in the appropriate format. For data that may be available through existing web sites, we will provide links to those sites. The ultimate goal is to establish a "one-stop-shopping" web site for anyone who needs soil geochemical data.
