Central Mineral Resources Team
Ore deposit studies conducted by team members focus on developing genetic models, especially as pertains to ore-forming processes and the role of tectonics. Current research focuses on syngenetic massive sulfide deposits in Alaska (sedimentary exhalative-SEDEX) and volcanogenic massive sulfides (VMS), and Mississippi Valley-type deposits (MVT), which account for 35% of the world's lead and zinc resources.
