Mineral Resource Studies

Photo of mine drainage. The CRMRSC mineral resource studies provide unbiased research for land-use planners and decision-makers about how mineral commodities interact with the environment. Some studies focus on the environmental processes and potential human health impacts of development and weathering of mineral deposits. Other studies are performed in cooperation with Federal and state land management agencies to provide basic geological, geochemical, and geophysical data for their land stewardship needs.
